The United Democratic Front (UDF) government has tapped senior bureaucrat Bishwanath Sinha to be the next Chief Secretary of Kerala. Mr Sinha, who is currently Additional Chief Secretary, Home, is set to replace Chief Secretary A Jayathilak, who will retire on June 30. The 1991 batch IAS office brings a measure of administrative experience to the office. He had also served as Kerala’s resident commissioner in New Delhi.Mr Sinha has two more years of service left and is slated to retire in 2028. Published - June 24, 2026 10:34 am IST
