Parliament has summoned the owners of troubled Uchumi Supermarkets over the non-payment of salary arrears, gratuity, and other terminal benefits owed to former staff.

Among those required to appear before the House team are former Ketraco boss and current Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa.

MPs will now require EADB directors and Treasury CS John Mbadi to appear before it to shed light on its operations in the country.
