Saudi leaders offer condolences to Qatar after deadly Ras Laffan factory explosion
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s leaders on Tuesday sent their condolences to Qatar following a factory explosion in Ras Laffan Industrial City on Sunday night that left 13 people dead and several injured.
King Salman sent a cable to Qatar’s emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, offering his sympathies to the families of the victims and the Qatari people.
“We extend to Your Highness, the families of the deceased, and the brotherly people of the State of Qatar our deepest condolences and sincere sympathy,” the king wrote.
He also prayed for mercy for those who died, a speedy recovery for the injured, and continued safety and security for Qatar, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
