Cristiano Ronaldo's name is up in lights again.
Lights which had threatened to go out on the Portuguese icon and leave him in total darkness. But in the space of two hours in Houston, Ronaldo got lift-off to prove he can still be out of this world.
Going from almost getting the boot, to being in with a chance of winning the golden one awarded to the tournament's highest scorer. While sticking two fingers up to his critics, reminding them all he remains one of the bona fide superstars of this World Cup.
A World Cup which will welcome him back with open arms. Because he has finally joined in the same fun his main rivals and other greats have been having here in North America.
