The Lagos State Government has announced the closure of the Oshodi Resettlement Market in Oshodi after traders were accused of attacking officials of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), popularly known as KAI, during an enforcement operation.

The development was announced by the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, in a post on X on Tuesday.

According to the commissioner, the market was shut following an altercation between traders and personnel of the enforcement agency during an operation aimed at arresting hoodlums and beggars in the area.
