In the statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, the command said the victim was attacked by a mob over allegations of child theft.
The Kaduna State Government has welcomed the arrest and arraignment of 24 suspects by the Kaduna State Police Command over the alleged mob killing of a woman at Maraban Jos, describing the development as a significant step toward securing justice and strengthening the rule of law.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, the government commended the police command for its swift response, thorough investigation, and professionalism in bringing the suspects before the court.
Maiyaki said the administration of Governor Uba Sani strongly condemns mob violence, jungle justice, and all forms of extra-judicial action, stressing that no individual or group has the authority to take the law into their own hands.
"The Kaduna State Government welcomes the arrest and arraignment of the suspects linked to this unfortunate incident and commends the Police Command for its swift and professional response,” the commissioner stated.
