Former Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced Monday that she would be following conservative commentator Tucker Carlson in ditching the “America Last” Republican Party. “Tucker is not the only one who is done supporting the Republican Party,” Greene said in a post on X. Greene’s comments followed Carlson’s criticism of Republicans who support U.S. military involvement in the escalating conflict with Iran. Carlson has accused Republican leaders of abandoning “America First” principles in favor of foreign intervention and overseas conflict.
“There is A LOT of us that are absolutely fed up and will not support a party that betrays its voters and country. That does not mean we are turning into Democrats either. But we are DONE with the America LAST Republican Party,” Greene said. Carlson told listeners on the Can’t Be Censored podcast that he was done supporting the Republican Party, describing its conduct as “treasonous.”
