“Iconic By Mistake,” the catchy collaboration between girl groups Katseye, Le Sserafim and Illit, has debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The linkup, which includes girl groups from different Hybe sub-labels, landed at No. 38, a higher peak than most K-pop entries, which, save for a few groups, have historically had a harder time breaking onto the chart, likely due to lack of radio play in the U.S. The song also charted on several other Billboard charts including the Global 200 (No. 25) and the Global Excluding U.S. chart (No. 22). In the United Kingdom, it debuted at No. 22 on the UK singles chart.

While “Iconic By Mistake” marks the first time the groups have charted together, each girl group has landed on the Billboard Hot 100 individually. This marks Katseye’s fifth, Le Sserafim’s fourth and Illit’s second entry on the Hot 100.

Katseye, a six-member American-based global girl group, hails from the partnership between Hybe and Geffen Records. “Iconic By Mistake” featured five members of the group — Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae — as member Manon has been on a hiatus since earlier this year.

The girl group’s 2025 mainstream breakout hit “Gnarly” launched a string of successes for the group over the last year and half. Katseye was nominated for two Grammy Awards earlier this year, including in the coveted best new artist category. They also made their Coachella debut in April and recently played to a massive crowd at the New York-based Governors Ball festival.
