Chase Daniel and Jordan Rodgers are moving up in ESPN’s college football analyst rotation, sources told Front Office Sports.

Daniel is replacing Rodgers on SEC Network’s SEC Nation studio show and will be calling Thursday night ESPN games with Matt Barrie, sources said. Rodgers is moving off the program for what has been described as an “elevated” role in the ESPN/ABC slates, but the specifics of his new assignments on games and in studio were not immediately known.

An ESPN spokesperson declined to comment.

Daniel joined ESPN last year and called college football games alongside Clay Matvick. Rodgers spent the last nine seasons calling SEC Saturday Night games with Tom Hart and Cole Cubelic.

Daniel’s pairing with Barrie connects the two throughout the week, as ESPN previously announced Barrie is replacing longtime SEC Nation host Laura Rutledge in the anchor chair this season. Tim Tebow and Roman Harper also serve as analysts on the program.
