Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangaluru, and Kristu Jayanti Deemed-to-be-University, Bengaluru, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic collaboration on Monday (June 22) in Sahyadri campus.Sahyadri college principal S.S. Injanageri and Kristu Jayanti vice-chancellor Augustine George signed the MoU. Kristu Jayanti chief human resources officer Fr. Joshy Mathew, MLC and Sahyadri college chairman Manjunath Bhandary, administrator Krishna Hegde and others were present.Mr. Bhandary expressed his enthusiasm towards the collaboration, recalling his visit to Kristu Jayanti in April 2026. He appreciated the institution’s culture and administration and stressed that guidance from a renowned university would greatly benefit Sahyadri’s newly introduced BBA, BCA, and MCA programmes. He also shared his vision of transforming Sahyadri college into a deemed-to-be university in the future.Mr. George highlighted the remarkable growth of Kristu Jayanti from just nine students in 1999 to over 18,000 students today. He stressed the importance of continuous learning, institutional collaboration, and a strong sense of belonging in achieving success.
