The probe surrounding the killing of retired broadcaster Kitan Oyesiku and her security guard deepened on Tuesday as the Ogun State Police Command announced the recovery of a Lexus RX300 that had earlier gone missing from the deceased’s residence.
The recovery of the vehicle, which investigators consider a significant piece of evidence, came as the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Bode Ojajuni, personally visited the crime scene to assess the progress of ongoing investigations into the shocking deaths that have unsettled residents.
Her death alongside the security guard's was first announced on Sunday.
In a fresh statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the command disclosed that the Lexus RX300 was recovered during a night operation and has since been secured as a critical exhibit.
The development marks a major breakthrough in the investigation, as detectives continue efforts to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the retired broadcaster and her security guard.
