Skwatta Kamp will be honoured with the prestigious Basha Uhuru Legacy Award, recognising the group's lasting contribution to South African hip hop and its role in shaping the country's music landscape over the past two decades.

Johannesburg's most anticipated creative explosion, the Basha Uhuru Freedom Festival, is officially taking over Constitution Hill on Saturday, June 27.

Founded back in 2012, the festival was created to honour the brave youth of the 1976 Soweto Uprising by giving today’s generation the ultimate freedom: the freedom to create, express and shine.

Now in its 14th year, the festival is a massive celebration of art, music, film and youth activism.

Whether you want to learn, network or just dance the night away, here is a sneak peek at what’s going down.
