A law graduate from Government Law College, Ernakulam, he briefly practised as an advocate before pursuing acting full-time.Known for his versatility, Mammootty has delivered acclaimed performances across genres, from intense dramas to socially relevant narratives, earning both critical acclaim and a devoted fan following. He is a three-time National Film Award winner for Best Actor and has also received several Kerala State Film Awards.
