The United States Mission in Nigeria has reminded Nigerians travelling to the US to comply with immigration laws and the conditions attached to their visas, saying doing so would protect future travel opportunities.
The mission advised in a message posted on its official X page on Monday, urging Nigerians studying, working or visiting the United States to ensure they comply with the terms of their visas and avoid overstaying.
It stated, “Staying compliant with U.S. immigration laws isn’t just the right thing to do – it protects your future and keeps opportunities open for Nigerian travelers.”
The mission urged travellers to obey immigration regulations throughout their stay in the United States.
“Whether you’re studying, working, or visiting the United States, always honor the terms of your visa,” the statement read.
