Shraddha Kapoor in ‘Eetha’

Shraddha Kapoor will be seen next in the biographical-drama, Eetha, the teaser of which was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday (June 23, 2026). The film is helmed by Chhaava director Laxman Utekar and also stars Randeep Hooda, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayub and Anant Joshi in pivotal roles.The teaser opens with thousands gathering to watch a folk dance performance. All of them demand for someone named Eetha to come on the dance floor as we hear a scream of a pregnant woman. She is Eetha (Shraddha), a popular Marathi Lavani folk dancer, is shown to be dancing right after delivering her baby. The teaser then shows her dancing gracefully and holding everyone’s attention without revealing much about the storyline.Eetha is based on the life of legendary Marathi dancer Vithabai Narayangaonkar, known for her iconic Lavani and Tamasha performances. The film marks the reunion of Shraddha with producer Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films after the Stree films.Written by Kshitij Pathwardhan, shot by Akash Agrawal with music by Ajay-Atul, Eetha will be released in theatres on August 28.
