In the temporarily occupied Crimea, fires were reported at railway and military facilities following a nighttime attack on June 23; a fire also broke out at a thermal power plant in Kerch.
This was reported by the Telegram channel “Krymskyi Veter,” according to Ukrinform.
“A fire at the thermal power plant in Kerch has been confirmed; the fire has spread to a storage tank. Based on satellite imagery, the monitoring group has detected a smoke plume 47 kilometers long,” the statement reads.
Fires have also been reported in Kerch at the “Pivdenna” (Old Park) railway station, at the entrance to Kerch—where an S-300/S-400 battery is located—and in the area of the village of Bagherove, where another S-300/S-400 battery is located.
According to the Telegram channel “Kerch Oil Terminal,” the facility, which was attacked on June 21, continues to burn; new signs of fire have appeared on the grounds of the oil terminal at the “Kavkaz” port; in Simferopol, warehouses belonging to the “Dobrotsen” retail chain are on fire, and near Dzhankoy, close to the village of Izumrudne, a fire has been reported in the area of the bridge over the North Crimean Canal.
