The government plans to increase the Housing Credit Program to Rp 50 trillion in 2026 from Rp 36 trillion after disbursement of the subsidized loans surpassed half of the government’s target, benefiting more than 91,000 borrowers nationwide.

The government plans to increase the ceiling of its Housing Credit Program (KPP) to Rp 50 trillion (US$2.79 billion) in 2026 from the initial Rp 36 trillion target, citing strong uptake from both homebuyers and builders.Public Housing and Settlements Minister Maruarar "Ara" Sirait said the increase was aimed at expanding access to the program for more people and developers.
“With disbursement already reaching around 54 percent, or Rp 19.2 trillion, the 2026 Housing Credit Program ceiling has been increased from Rp 36 trillion to Rp 50 trillion, so that the benefits can be felt more widely by the public and businesses,” Ara said in Jakarta on Monday.
