The album was a flop, and she later apologised. In 2008, Sony BMG replaced Davis as chairman and chief executive officer of the BMG label group, giving him the title of chief creative officer, a role he held until his death.Davis was born on April 4, 1932, and had four children. In his memoir, he confirmed longtime rumours that he was bisexual and had been living with a man in recent years. He was portrayed in the Houston biopic I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Stanley Tucci.
