The Association of Surgeons of India—Tamil Nadu State Chapter (TNASI) organised the third edition of Chennai eTEP Master Class which is an advanced academic program for the evolving science of abdominal wall reconstruction and complex hernia management, according to a press release.It was designed to give practising surgeons a detailed understanding of changing the science behind hernia management via master surgical videos, expert lectures, interactive case-based scenarios and multidisciplinary discussions. The program also focused on the advancements in abdominal wall reconstruction. International experts held discussions on the issue. Organising chairman Ravindran Kumeran said the aim is to bring down the recurrence after hernia surgery. Maruthupandi, National ASI president spoke about TNASI’s role to raise awareness on surgical education and enhanced patient care in anterior abdominal wall reconstruction.
