New low/$700

As part of its early Prime Day deals, Amazon is now offering LG’s 27-inch UltraGear dual-mode OLED gaming monitor for $699.99 shipped. This is one of the fastest OLED monitors out there, sporting a panel that can hit refresh rates of up to 720Hz. It typically goes for $1,000, but today’s deal takes $300 off its usual going rate to land it $50 below the previous all-time low it first hit earlier this year. This is the lowest we have seen this model drop to date, and you can learn more about it in detail below.

The highlight of this gaming monitor is its support for the dual-mode feature, with which it can run at 720Hz in HD for the fastest possible competitive play, or switch to QHD at 540Hz if you would rather have a sharper image for slower-paced cinematic games. LG pairs that flexibility with a 0.02ms response time, NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync support, and its 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, which it says makes this its brightest OLED gaming monitor yet at up to 335 nits. This panel also offers a good set of connectivity options to get you a DisplayPort 2.1, a USB-C port, and two HDMI 2.1 ports.

Samsung’s Odyssey G9 49-inch gaming monitor is also worth considering while it’s down to $650, if you would rather buy an ultrawide display for your battlestation. It sports a DQHD 240Hz panel, and it’s down from its usual price of $1,000.
