Demanding the implementation of the government order regarding pensions, members of the Tamil Nadu All Noon Meal and Anganwadi Pensioners Association staged a protest in front of the Sivaganga District Collectorate on Monday.District President Udayanasamy who presided over the protest demanded that as a minimum pension, ₹7,850 must be announced in the current Legislative Assembly session itself.Other demands included Dearness Allowance, medical allowance, and free medical insurance, as well as immediately disbursing the pending provident fund benefits to retired employees.
