Three persons of a family reportedly ended their lives in a suicide pact at Kempayyanahundi in the T. Narsipur Police Station limits in Mysuru district early on Monday.The deceased include Shivanna, 54, hi wife, Nagarathna, 48, and daughter Rakshita, 21, who had resorted to the extreme step by consuming poison.A death note was also recovered from the house.Superintendent of Police Mallikarjun Baladandi, who visited the spot, said the deceased had blamed one Ulhas Gowda of the same village for their deaths.Sharing the background of the incident, Mr. Baladandi said the Gowda, who knew Rakshita, was upset when she informed him that she was marrying elsewhere.When he insisted on marrying Rakshita even after her engagement with another person, the families of Rakshita and Gowda had a meeting during which the accused was warned against pursuing her.However, Gowda sent his old photos with Rakshita to her prospective groom just days before the marriage, causing agony in Rakshita’s family.The invitation cards for the wedding scheduled for June 24 too had been distributed.
