The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, denied that his decision to strip the head of the Ukrainian state of the Order of the White Eagle was driven by domestic political considerations.

He said this on Monday, June 22, in Warsaw, commenting on Zelensky's statement that these actions were part of political struggle, namely Poland's parliamentary election campaign, Ukrinform reported, citing Rmf24.

"Dear Volodymyr, Mr President, this dispute has nothing at all to do with Poland's internal affairs. Such issues do not exist, because all Poles know and understand how much harm Ukrainian nationalists caused to Poland, to Polish men, women, and Polish children. President Zelensky is mistaken," Nawrocki said.

As Ukrinform reported, the day before Zelensky said that President Nawrocki was fighting for the prime minister's chair so that his party would win against Prime Minister Tusk.

On Friday evening, June 19, Nawrocki decided to strip Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle. Commenting on the decision on Saturday, he said that Poles know what war is and what the Russian threat is, while stressing that "the Poles have their own limit of patience, and it has been crossed."
