The deputy manpower minister has confirmed that the government is working on a revision of Manpower Ministerial Regulation No. 7/2026 that would reduce the number of service categories eligible for outsourcing from six to four.

The government is preparing to revise a recently issued regulation on outsourcing following pressure from labor groups, potentially reducing the number of outsourced jobs from six to four categories.Deputy Manpower Minister Afriansyah Noor confirmed that the ministry was reviewing Ministerial Regulation No. 7/2026 on outsourcing, which currently allows companies to hire outsourced workers for six types of supporting services, Kompas.com reported.
These include cleaning, food and beverage (F&B), security, transportation and operational support services, as well as supporting work in the mining, oil and gas and electricity sectors.
