Officials believe that four to five people may still be trapped inside, although there has been no confirmation of any deaths.A local resident who initially helped in the rescue efforts said that one man jumped from the building to escape the fire and suffered severe injuries, including fractures to his spine and legs. An unverified video circulating on social media purportedly shows people jumping from the building in an attempt to save themselves from the blaze.The building is located on Usha Mehta Marg and falls under the jurisdiction of the Aliganj police station.
