The Association of Swiss Asset and Wealth Management Banks (VAV) has elected Georg Schubiger, Co-CEO of Vontobel, as its new president at an extraordinary general meeting held on Monday. He will succeed Giorgio Pradelli, CEO of EFG International, who is set to become chairman of the Swiss Bankers Association. The appointments will take effect on September 18, 2026.
The association also appointed Stefan Bollinger, CEO of Julius Baer, as vice-president. In addition, Alexander Classen, chairman of EFG International, and Marcel Rohner, vice-chairman of Union Bancaire Privée (UBP), were elected to the board.
