Lorraine Kelly previously called the cuts to her daytime show “heartbreaking” – but she has now revealed that she’s embracing the welcome break from our screens.In 2025, Kelly, who has presented her titular morning show since 2010, bore the brunt of ITV pairing back its schedule, with her show being halved in runtime. Good Morning Britain now occupies the 9am to 10am slot for 22 weeks of the year, which means that Lorraine is on just 30 weeks a year, as opposed to 52, and for only 30 minutes as opposed to one hour.Kelly, 66, is “absolutely not” angry about the development, telling Radio Times: “I’m not bothered about my fat face being on the telly. I can spend more time with my granddaughter, Billie, who’s human sunshine, but also I can really concentrate on writing, instead of trying to fit it in at one o’clock in the morning, or saying to my husband, ‘Sorry, we can’t go on holiday because I’m writing.’”The star previously said she has no plans to retire, telling The Mirror last year: “I don’t see me going anywhere until people get fed up, you know?
