And despite the nature of the fight, the WBC is ready to rank Fury at cruiserweight - despite him not having a recognised fighter on his record.‌The sanctioning body did likewise with social media star Jake Paul, provoking fierce criticism for giving him a ranking which made him eligible for a world title shot. WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman told Betway when asked if Fury deserves a top-15 spot: "I think so. They're a fighting family. I think even the father could be ranked. He's unbelievable.
