West Bengal Budget 2026: 1 lakh jobs, 20% DA hike and major welfare push
The BJP government in West Bengal has presented its first State Budget, announcing a series of measures focused on employment, welfare and infrastructure. Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta said one lakh vacant government posts will be filled this year, while Dearness Allowance for State employees will rise by 20% from October.
