After decades of rapper Jay-Z rocking a crisp low fade, which he famously referred to as the “New York City money cut”, he started growing his hair back in 2017.
Now fans finally got an answer to one of the questions that has followed his 8-year-long hair transformation.
After making headlines with his new afro, following years of wearing locs, Beyoncé shared the story behind his hair journey in an intimate documentary-style vlog titled “The Blueprint”.
The 7-minute vlog, released through her haircare brand CÉCRED, documents the process of combing out Jay-Z’s locs and transforming them into the full afro he recently debuted on stage at the Roots Picnic.
