Capital Clean Energy Carriers Corp. (CCEC), owned by Evangelos Marinakis, has announced the successful delivery of the LNG carrier Agamemnon, further strengthening its position in the liquefied natural gas transportation market. The vessel, with a cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic meters (cbm), was built by HD Hyundai Samho and delivered on June 17, 2026.Immediately following delivery, the vessel commenced a previously agreed time charter with a major energy company, which will run until March 2027. Thereafter, CCEC will have the option to deploy the vessel either under the long-term charter initially designated for the Athlos or under Archon, with fixed charter periods of five and seven years, respectively. The acquisition was financed through a combination of equity and a new 216-million-dollar loan facility and it is expected to be refinanced through an eight-year JOLCO (Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option) structure, a Japanese leasing model that includes a purchase option.
