Uber says it is investigating after a driver was accused of throwing coffee at a woman during an ugly argument with two female passengers over a cancelled ride in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.Viral video of the blow-up shared on X over the weekend showed the two women berating and swearing at the man, who raged back, calling one a “f**king b***h”.“Behaviour that violates our community guidelines has no place on the Uber platform and we are currently investigating this matter,” an Uber spokesman told news.com.au.It’s understood Uber currently trying to gather more information from the driver and passengers involved.Uber Pool trips are intended to be booked by one passenger, who is then matched up with two others for a maximum of three riders in the vehicle at any one time. The three-minute video begins mid-argument and does not show what led up to the confrontation. The driver is seen standing outside the rear passenger door, telling the women, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, just get out of my car”.“We can cancel the trip at the exact same time,” the brunette passenger says.“Get out of my car, can’t you understand? F**king b***h,” the driver says.“F**king b***h? Excuse me?” the woman says.“I am telling you one more time, otherwise I’m going to throw coffee on you,” the driver warns.“Spill coffee on me?” the brunette says.“Yes. Can you get out of my car?” he replies.“We just asked you to cancel the trip. I said I’m not cancelling the trip because I’ve been stung before. Was it that hard?” she says.“You don’t have common sense …” the driver says.“Was it that hard?” she says.“Nah, you don’t even know what you …” he says.“Because you’re a scamming f**king c**t,” she rages. The blonde woman filming then chimes in, demanding, “Then why would you accept it?”The driver then appears to slam the car door.“Don’t you f**king slam me in there, the audacity! Mate, I will kick it straight off,” the blonde rages, opening the door again.“I am telling you one more time …” the driver says.“I don’t give a f**k. The audacity. Mate, why would you accept it? Why would you accept it?” she continues.“I don’t have to explain. I cancelled your trip, just get out,” he says.“You cancelled the trip after the fact, you said we couldn’t do this,” the brunette says.“F**king slammed the f**king door in my face. Get the f**k away from me,” the blonde says. The two women can then be heard explaining the situation to onlookers, with one man heard urging them to just “get another Uber”. At some point it appears they exit the car.“He refused to cancel the trip …” the brunette tells someone.“Accepted the trip and then wanted to have a f**king meltdown about it,” the blonde says.“F**king retard, bro. Giving me f**king autism. I actually can’t. Why the f**k would you accept it then you r****d?”“Oh, but you couldn’t cancel it before,” the brunette is heard telling the driver. It appears the woman filming then gets back in the car, telling the driver “sort your s**t out”.The video does not show what follows but the brunette is heard giving out a loud scream.“OK, OK, OK!” the driver says in a panicked voice.“You just f**king threw coffee at her!” the blonde yells, as her friend continues screaming.“OK, OK, I am sorry!” the driver says. “I am sorry, I am sorry, I am sorry!”“Girls, girls, it’s not worth it,” a man is heard saying.“He just f**king threw coffee at her!” the blonde says.“He just threw boiling coffee at me!” her friend says.“You don’t f**king hit people,” a man tells them. “Just get out of the car. Walk away, guys. This is too much.”“It’s not worth it man, there’s cops around,” another man tells them.“You went back to the car,” a third says.“I didn’t do s**t,” the blonde says. “He wants to carry on like a f**king muppet. He decided that he didn’t want to get punched in the face for his own f**king actions, the retard.”Asked what happened, she claims that when they got into the car, the driver told them, “I can’t take two people.’”“I’m like, ‘Well, why the f**k would you accept the trip?’” she says.“And then he pulled over and made us cancel it, and then starts abusing her like a f**king idiot. Mate, I swear to God, if I wasn’t already on charges, mate, snap kick straight in the f**king head, bro. My psychosis is sending me for a loop, c**t.”It’s not clear when the incident took place or if any charges were laid.Queensland Police has been contacted for comment.frank.chung@news.com.auRead related topics:Brisbane
