He spoke with a trainer before disappearing into the club’s gym.Coach Wayne Bennett stood in the middle of the field watching Mitchell as he tore the strapping tape off his hands and then exited training.Mitchell had trained strongly on Saturday and only had to survive Monday’s session to be given the green light to return from a back injury against the Eels.The 29-year-old has not played since Magic Round on May 15, and such was the excitement about his comeback, there was a push to have him also rushed back for the Blues.The early exit will be a huge concern for both Bennett and his NSW counterpart Laurie Daley.Mitchell appeared in good spirits late Sunday when he appeared on Fox Sports’ The Matty Johns Show and said of his return from injury: “We’re just sorting it out mate, a bit of pilates. It was a disc at the start. I got an injection. It has settled down since then … and looking forward to getting back this week against Parra.”Latrell Siegwalt ran at left centre during the opposed session.
