Musician, teacher, researcher, and artist with disability S. Kanmony was conferred the title ‘Naadha Vinodhini’ by Naadhabrahmam United Gyan Academi here on Sunday.The event was held on the occasion of International Music and Yoga Day and to mark the 25th year of Naadhabrahmam.R. Seshasayee, Chairman, Asian Paints, said it was startling to see what Ms. Kanmony had accomplished so far.Apart from the fact that shehad given 500 concerts and received a national award, she was also a painter. “How many of us can achieve this?” he asked.‘Great feat’That the sabha has been functioning for the last 25 years was a great feat, Mr. Seshasayee added.On accepting the award, Ms. Kanmony said she was deeply honoured, and expressed her gratitude to her parents and family.
