A suspected militant claiming to speak on behalf of the Chobo ethnic group has issued a chilling threat to launch coordinated night-time attacks on Bachama-speaking communities in Lamurde Local Government Area of Adamawa State, raising fears of a fresh wave of mass killings in the troubled region.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the suspected militia leader vowed that no life would be spared within areas marked out by his group, declaring that Chobo fighters had adopted what he described as a "night mode operation" strategy.

According to him, the militia would move from village to village under the cover of darkness, targeting Bachama settlements in what observers fear could trigger another deadly escalation of the long-running communal conflict.

"There will be mass killings, there will be mass bloodshed, there will be wailing across Bachama land," the warlord reportedly declared in the video.
