US Vice President JD Vance, speaking from Bürgenstock resort near Lucerne, Switzerland, on Sunday said Washington had made "great progress" in the last few hours of negotiations with Iran and expressed hope for a lasting transformation in relations between the two countries and across the Middle East more broadly."What we're trying to accomplish is through diplomacy to work together to transform the Middle East," Vance said, adding that the core question was "whether we can change relations in the Middle East permanently."He said President Donald Trump had tasked the team with finding a diplomatic path forward.
