Ring’s newest Battery Doorbell Plus just landed its biggest discount since launch. For Prime members, it is down to $99, off its $179 list price for a 44% cut that leaves Amazon at nearly zero margin. The Retinal 2K resolution, 6x Enhanced Zoom, and quick-release battery pack make this the sharpest and most practical battery-powered doorbell Ring has shipped.

Retinal 2K, head-to-toe video, and 6x zoom
The Battery Doorbell Plus records in Retinal 2K resolution with a wide-angle lens that captures head-to-toe video, showing the full height of a person at the door rather than cropping at the waist as narrower lenses do. That wider frame matters when package deliveries are the primary use case, since it captures what was left on the doorstep as clearly as the face of whoever left it. Enhanced Zoom pushes up to 6x magnification on recorded and live footage without the smearing that digital zoom produces on lower-resolution cameras, so details at the edge of the frame or at a distance remain usable rather than pixelated.
Night Vision stays in color longer than previous Ring generations before switching to black and white in total darkness, which means faces and clothing colors remain identifiable in low-light conditions that would push earlier models into monochrome. Ring calls this Adaptive Night Vision, and the combination of color retention and low-light sensitivity is a meaningful upgrade over the standard night vision found on Ring’s older battery doorbells.
