Iranian representatives intend to focus on the issue of a ceasefire in Lebanon during negotiations with the U.S. delegation in Switzerland.
According to Ukrinform, Al Jazeera reports that Esmaeil Baghaei, a spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, made this statement.
“The Zionist regime continues to violate its commitment in Lebanon. This issue will be the main topic of discussion in today’s talks,” Baghaei said.
He added that the agenda also includes the transfer of Iran’s frozen assets and the issuance of licenses by the United States to sell Iranian oil.
In contrast, the United States, as indicated by statements from American representatives at the talks, considers it a priority to discuss the conditions under which the Iranian regime would abandon its nuclear weapons program.
