Lagos-based safety footwear manufacturer, Yikodeen Company Limited, has marked its tenth anniversary, celebrating a decade of growth, innovation and contribution to Nigeria’s industrial manufacturing sector.
The company, which began operations in 2016 with the goal of producing world-class industrial safety footwear locally, has grown from a small manufacturing outfit producing about 20 pairs daily to one of the largest safety footwear manufacturers in West Africa.
The anniversary was marked with a Corporate Dinner and Awards Night held at Four Points by Sheraton, Lagos, where industry leaders, corporate organisations and stakeholders from the manufacturing, oil and gas, construction and industrial sectors gathered to celebrate the milestone.
Over the past 10 years, Yikodeen says it has produced more than five million pairs of safety footwear and expanded its production capacity to over 5,000 pairs daily from its facility in Ejigbo, Lagos.
Speaking at the event, founder and the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Atunde Olayinka, said the company was built on the belief that Nigerian manufacturers could compete globally.
