After sharpening its campaign in West Bengal, the BJP is now turning its focus to Punjab, adopting an aggressive strategy ahead of the Assembly elections.The outreach began with Union Home Minister Amit Shah's rally in Moga in March. BJP president Nitin Nabin has now stepped up the campaign with a three-day visit to the state beginning Saturday.Nabin began his tour on Saturday by offering prayers at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. On Sunday, he will participate in the International Yoga Day programme at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar before holding a series of organisational review meetings with district, regional and state-level leaders and workers.Besides expanding the party's organisational footprint, Punjab-specific issues are also expected to figure prominently during the visit."In March, Amit Shah said the BJP government would fulfil the dream of a drug-free Punjab. Nitin Nabin's visit will further energise the cadre as we work towards winning Punjab," BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh told ET.Party leaders maintain that the BJP will contest all 117 Assembly seats on its own.
