Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon blamed for Iran’s closure of the strait of Hormuz amidst ceasefire deal with the US.
Just as Vice President JD Vance was announcing that US negotiators Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff were already in Switzerland for talks on Iran’s nuclear programme, Tehran said it had closed the Strait again, blaming Israeli air strikes on southern Lebanon, which have killed at least 32 people since dawn, despite Israel signing a new ceasefire with Hezbollah yesterday.
