The Congress party intensified its attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday regarding the killing of three Indian sailors who went missing following a US military strike on an oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman. The party has posed several pointed questions to the Prime Minister on this issue. Referring to Prime Minister Modi's recent meeting with US President Donald Trump, the Congress alleged that Modi failed to raise the matter of the three Indian sailors' deaths.Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, Pawan Khera, Chairman of the Congress's Media and Publicity Department, cited Modi's meeting with Trump on the sidelines of the G-7 summit in Biarritz, France. Khera said, "Narendra Modi's eyes were downcast before Donald Trump. He was addressing Trump as 'Excellency'." He added, "It was deeply embarrassing. It appeared as though a company agent was speaking to his boss; we have never seen a Prime Minister like this before." Khera stated that the US killed three Indian sailors and Trump did not even express regret, because Narendra Modi was content merely listening to praise for himself. He alleged that PM Modi could not ask Trump a single question regarding the killing of the Indian sailors. Show more Show less
