Russian strike kills one, wounds nine in Kharkiv
A Russian aerial attack killed one person and wounded nine others in Kharkiv city in eastern Ukraine, local authorities said on June 20.
Moscow and Kiev have escalated attacks on each other in recent weeks, as US-led talks on ending the conflict that began in February 2022 remain effectively frozen.
Kharkiv mayor Igor Terekhov reported early on Saturday that a woman was trapped under rubble after a "guided aerial bomb strike" hit a residential area.
"Sadly, during search and rescue operations, the body of a person who was killed was found under the rubble of the destroyed building," Terekhov said in an update on Telegram.
