MANILA, Philippines — The famed sweet mangoes of Guimaras Island have arrived in Spain as part of a 100-kilogram test shipment aimed at opening opportunities in the European market.
“At its heart is a shared objective: to connect Philippine farmers and SMEs (small and medium enterprises) more directly with international markets and create new export pathways for high-value agricultural products,” the Philippine Embassy in Spain said in a statement dated June 19.
“As Guimaras Mangoes arrive in Madrid, we are delighted to share a taste of the Philippines and showcase a product that embodies excellence, heritage, and the dedication of the Filipino people.”
