A strong majority of Bulgarians express pride in DARA’s victory at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, according to a new survey by the “Myara” agency, while attitudes toward the Eurovision music format itself are significantly more divided.
The nationally representative study was conducted between June 4 and June 12 among 817 adults using a face-to-face method with tablet devices. Researchers note that the polling period did not overlap with Sofia Pride 2026 or the parallel “Family March.”
According to the results, 67.2% of respondents say they are proud of DARA’s success. In contrast, 17.9% report no sense of pride in the singer’s achievement. The remaining participants are either uncertain or insufficiently informed on the topic, with 7.9% stating limited familiarity.
The survey shows that support for DARA spans most demographic groups, although older respondents and voters with more skeptical attitudes toward Western-oriented political and cultural trends show comparatively higher levels of reservation.
Personal perceptions of the singer are similarly positive. 66.7% of respondents say they have a favorable opinion of DARA, while 11.8% express a negative view. A further 14.2% are undecided, and 7.3% say they are not familiar with the Eurovision winner.
