Dick’s says that it plans to increase its Lids presence to 100 of its stores in the U.S. Lids will have shops and merchandise embedded inside Dick’s retail outlets. Privately held Lids sells baseball hats and other merchandise branded with professional sports team logos.

Dick’s currently has Lids hats and other products available in 46 of its stores. Management plans to grow that presence to 100 stores by the end of this summer. The sporting goods retailer has a total of 3,200 store locations across America.

Dick’s Sporting Goods’ Diversification

Dick’s Sporting Goods is looking to diversify its in-store products and give its sales a boost. The company’s first-quarter financial results this year missed Wall Street’s targets as it continues to integrate sneaker retailer Foot Locker, which it acquired for $2.4 billion.
