The Independent Power Transmission Operator’s (ADMIE) share capital increase was oversubscribed 14 times on Friday.

The total capital increase amounted to €1 billion. Of this, €510 million was contributed by the Greek state to maintain its 51% stake in the transmission operator, while €240 million was invested by State Grid Corporation of China, which holds a 24% stake in the company.

Investors’ total demand reached €3.5 billion, including €2.8 billion from the international order book and €700 million from domestic investors.

The capital increase will support ADMIE investment program, which envisages total investments of €6 billion during the 2026-2029 period.

Key projects include a second electricity interconnection with Italy, as well as grid interconnections for the islands of the Northeastern Aegean and the Dodecanese, aimed at strengthening the resilience and integration of Greece’s electricity network.
