Samantha Ruth Prabhu's latest release Maa Inti Bangaaram has made a promising start at the box office despite receiving mixed reactions from critics and audiences. Its India gross collection currently stands at Rs 6.20 crore.The film has also performed well in overseas markets, where it collected approximately Rs 4.50 crore gross. With this, its worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 10.70 crore on Day 1.The opening figures are particularly significant for Samantha, as Maa Inti Bangaaram has surpassed the Day 1 collections of her previous solo release Yashoda. Released in 2022, the dystopian thriller had earned Rs 3.06 crore net in India on its first day. By comparison, Maa Inti Bangaaram has registered a much stronger opening.The film has also performed better than some recent women-centric Telugu films. Anushka Shetty's Ghaati had opened at Rs 2 crore, while Rashmika Mandanna's The Girlfriend collected Rs 1.30 crore on its first day. Maa Inti Bangaaram has comfortably crossed both figures.Additionally, the film has overtaken the opening-day collection of Oh! Baby, Samantha and Nandini Reddy's previous hit collaboration.
