If [the new WWE] stars have enough gravity, have enough relevance, they should be the ones influencing the audience, the people, in the arena. That is my hope, amazingly-that people forget.”After retiring from in-ring wrestling, Cena was the official host at WrestleMania 42 in 2026, which took place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. During his retirement tour, Cena featured against WWE legends like Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and Gunther, against whom he competed in his final WWE match, ending his glorious career at the Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, 2025.
