Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons has 42.5 sacks in his seven-year career. Rich Storry / Getty ImagesJune 19, 2026 4:12 pm EDT Updated The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a three-year contract extension with star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, the team announced Friday. The new deal is worth $105.8 million, including $100 million guaranteed according to multiple reports, and keeps Simmons in Tennessee through the 2030 season.Simmons, who will turn 29 in July, has been one of the few bright spots for the Titans in recent years. He earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2025 after being named second-team All-Pro in 2021 and 2022. After beginning his rookie season recovering from a torn ACL while training for the draft, Simmons has been very durable. Over the past six seasons, he’s started at least 15 games five times. His 2025 season was the best of his career, setting career-highs across the board. He tallied 11 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, 21 quarterback hits and three forced fumbles.

The Titans went to the conference championship in Simmons’ rookie season and made the playoffs each of the following two years. The team has missed the playoffs in each of the last four seasons and is coming off of back-to-back three-win campaigns. The Titans also made a change at head coach, going from the offensive-minded Brian Callahan in 2024 to bringing in in former San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh this offseason,Simmons had two years remaining on a four years extension he signed with the Titans in 2023. The new deal ensures that Simmons will be in Tennessee for the duration of his prime.
